Self-described victims of the Korea King advertising campaign now are filing a complaint against the Consumer Protection Board for lack of action. (Photo by Pornprom Satrabhaya)An economist on Thursday petitioned the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate the Consumer Protection Board (CPB) for being too slow in taking legal action against Wizard Solutions Co, the importer and distributor of the Korea King frying pans. In his petition, Mr Kasemsant accused the CPB of being unusually slow in taking criminal action against the company over allegedly exaggerated claims about its kitchenware product. Mr Kasemsant also said that Pikkanes Tapuang, deputy secretary-general of the CPB, had indicated the CPB would help deceived customers by issuing advice enabling them to get their money back from Wizard Solutions Co. If [the CPB] cannot bring the perpetrator to justice, it should never handle any other cases," Mr Kasemsant said.
